I am a follower of Jesus

I am a follower of Jesus
       Looks like:
  • Helping others when they are hurt
  • Never see a need without doing something about it
  • Including others
  • Being kind and caring to others
  • Going to church

          Sounds like:
  • Saying sorry when you need to
  • Owning up when you have done something wrong
  • preaching and spreading the word
  • praying  and worshiping
  • praying in different ways to God

                              Jesus

My Mum

Do you have that special lady in your life the one who gives you hugs and kisses and laughs with you? She has a soft gentle hand that always strokes me and a beautiful smile and hazel brown eyes that twinkle at me.

My Mum loves to shop and she buys me clothes to keep me warm.  She gives me shelter from the rain and sun. She likes to watch movies and read books most mornings she is sitting up in bed reading.
Mum loves to spend time with me and help me with things when I am struggling my Mum is always there to help me.

Mum  is always there supporting me on the sideline in everything and all competitions that I do. She helps me with my homework  my reading and with lots of other things. She always is there for me in the good and rough parts of life. She is always there when I am sick and she will take me to the doctors so I can get better.

My Mum is a great Mum because she makes sure that everything is clean if we are going to have visitors or friends. She makes sure that Amy and I  are not fighting but do you think we would fight? She makes sure we are warm and cosy or nice and cool at night when she comes down to see us.

My Mum is a great Mum because she has a funny laugh and her funny languages like “serre mouse.”  I have to be honest that is so funny when she says it and she certainly knows how to make me laugh. That is why I love her to the moon and back! That is one of our favorite sayings. So thanks for being the best Mum ever.

ICC Cricket World Cup

I enjoyed learning about the Black Caps and the history of New Zealand cricket.  I learnt that they played their first game in Auckland.

Memoir - Weka Point

The breeze in my face my head out the window, over the big bumps in Jack’s driveway. 3...  2 ...  1...   splash! through the river we go, water all over the windscreen like an egg smashed on the kitchen bench. I'm now soaking wet but that didn't stop us from  going up to get to the ninety meter water slide.  Right at the top you can see the start of the water slide going down a hill at Weka Point.  I'm first out of the car and race straight up the hill and owowowowow! I am sliding so fast, you can feel all of the sticks and stones under the slide which are painful on your bum.

But the cool breeze is nice on my face from the burning sun shimmering above me. “Splash,” I have landed in the mud pool at the bottom of the slide and that was one of the best water slides. We all headed out of the mud pit  to the river to wash off  all the mud and have a swim before we head home after a fun day at Weka Point.
Dear God
Thank you for my loving family
and help us to treasure each day
and take care of all the living things around us.

Amen

Dear God
Please help all of the families
that are going through
hard times and please help them
to get through them ok and
not to think that they are alone.
Amen

Dear God
Thank you for the long grass
that tickles my feet and for the breeze
that blows in my hair and the colourful
Autumn leaves that blow in the cool breeze.

Amen
